Rumour tonight is Welbeck will wear the number 7 shirt next season. If true, I guess it means Sanchez is off.

Edit:

It seems someone on the Arsenal website made an error when they added the new shirt to the shop and added the number 7 to Welbeck's name. It has since changed back to Sanchez.

What about the clubs? Arsenal are tied in with PaddyPower for example.

And Liverpool with BetVictor. My guess is that there'll be no impact immediately, but some growing pressure to roll them off when the sponsorship deal expires.

Was wondering about that myself. I know it's only on the training gear, but one of the reasons I won't buy one of the polo tops is the BetVictor logo.

Jurgen Klopp doing the ads for them too. Sooner betting ads go the way of alcohol and tobacco the better.

Lacazette is having a medical, assuming there are no issues, that's two signings made with a month still to go until the new season starts. I'm liking this new way of working

If Sanchez stays, I'd be disappointed if he doesn't get over 20. If Sanchez goes, it really doesn't matter what he gets as we'll be fucked. He still may get 20 but they will come in games against lower league teams. We need to win against the top 6 and for that to happen, we need a front three of Sanchez, Ozil and Lacazette.

Sanchez is a nightmare for any true striker to play with because he makes a lot of selfish low percentage plays even if he is capable of utter brilliance. It's why he works so well with Welbeck, because Welbeck is capable of playing to his whims by running the wide channels and being as much of the winger as Sanchez is when he's on the pitch. Maybe Lacazette is capable of that too, but that won't get him goals. I am highly doubtful that Lacazette will break 20 goals next season either way but I'd say that he is more likely to do so if Sanchez leaves.

However, Sanchez is a nightmare for defenders who will try to stick to him, therefore creating the space for Lacazette to make his runs. Without Sanchez, Lacazette could struggle to break through a Premiership defence. I guess it's a case of looking at it from two different perspectives but I'm purely looking at a non Giroud style of striker which has no place in a starting lineup at Arsenal. I just hope we stick to 3-4-3.

I know it's a stat in isolation of everything else he does, but quite surprised to see how often Sanchez gives the ball away

I do find it strange that he would choose to return to a Mourinho team over Chelsea though. My guess is that Man Utd gives him a better opportunity to build his "personal brand".

Be that as it may, I still think he goes missing too often in the big games. He's hardly proven at Champions League level either. I don't want him personally but we'll see...

I think Lukaku in that Chelsea team is an interesting prospect, especially after how they performed last season. In comparison to where Chelsea are at the moment, Man Utd are still struggling to return to former glories. On top of Lukaku's past experience with Mourinho and his general poisonous approach to player management, I don't think it would be the best move.

In terms of him going missing, agreed. But again, he's scoring 25 goals for a club outside of the top 4. Combine those goals with a Champions League level side and you get some interesting potential.
