Gaming mobo and graphics card

Last year I built a pc with my son and ask on here for advise on a good gaming motherboard. You all recommended the MSI K8N Neo2 Platinum, and it's been great, but whats the best out now for AMD. Also, the graphics card we have is a 9800 pro, and it seems to run Battlefield 2 fairly smooth, but for the new build, I want one that will run it great with ease.

Any advice greatly appreciated.

By all accounts an ATI x800XL card is the best value/performance card out there at the moment, going for around 200 or just under I think.

Asus A8N-SLi Deluxe nForce4 SLi
AMD Athlon 64 3500+ Venice 90nm (or 3200+ (OEM) + custom cooler) if your a confident OCer)
Corsair 2GB DDR XMS3200C2PT TwinX
BFG GeForce 6800 GT OC 256MB DDR3 TV-Out/Dual DVI (PCI-Express) (you'll need a DVI Moniter)
Maxtor MaxLine III NCQ 250GB 7L250SO SATA 16MB Cache - OEM

that should come up to around 900 (inc VAT) on overclockers.co.uk

I take it that you have a case and DVD ROm Drive and floppy drive and case already and your just going to replace those parts.

If you want to splash out a bit more, i'd upgrade the Graphics card to a 6800 Ultra (+50) or a 7800 GTX (+ 150) depending on how much your willing to spend.

You might find some of the components cheaper somewhere else but I hope this helps.

And if you your not going for an SLi upgradable path. Go for a:

Abit AN8 Fatal1ty nForce4 Ultra (Socket 939) PCI-Express Motherboard and a
PowerColor ATI Radeon X850 XT PE 256MB DDR3 VIVO TV-Out/Dual DVI

wtih everything else the same.
