I'd disconnect the DECT phones then use your old router and post the logs from that

ADSL/ADSL2+ shouldn't matter so much compared to the line quality and eliminating the router and the phones

Just a quick update. I've connected up my old Netgear DG834v1 to it, it's still disconnecting AND it's still having trouble to reconnect. Like with the Billion I'm having to reboot the router to reestablish any sort of connection.

Here's the log from the Netgear...

Interestingly enough I'm only connecting in G.DMT mode instead of 2+.

shamelessly stolen from here

~ adsl drops out when phone call is made or received.

Incorrectly installed filters - check filters are installed correctly see here.
Faulty filters - replace one by one to identify which filter is faulty.
Fault on the line - unlikely but possible if all else has been eliminated.

i'd try a 3rd splitter, you've already tried another i know so if you don't want to buy a new one just to test, perhaps borrow one that is known to be good from another site/mate's house and give that a go. Also borrow their phone for a sec, worth a shot. not saying you're a numpty but it could just be bad luck you've swopped bad for bad when you tested.

i don't think it's your router, that is just leading you astray imo although no harm looking at the logs and sharing incase the set-up can be improved on anyway.

this may just be a sign that china is just remotely blocking your access to the outside world.

DSLAM fucked. It isn't your router, filters or phones. A fault on the line is unlikely but if you can get a BT moron out to do a pair quality test that might help eliminate that. If all the above is reasonably certain, then the fault lies at the exchange.

Saying that, have you any extension wiring in the house and have you pulled all the wires so the only thing remaining is your master-socket ?

Ta.

They're fitted correctly as I have an actual masterplate, I've double and triple checked the wiring as I did try an alternative masterplate. Also being Dect, only one phone is plugged into the socket.

Going to try and disconnect the Dect phones tonight with the Netgear in and see if it helps with the disconnecting/reconnecting. But it is no longer disconnecting when the phone rings/call connects. It's just this disconnecting late at night and not reconnecting problem seems to have spawned from resolving the previous one.

EDIT: Didn't make a bit of difference disconnecting the Dect phones.

Nope, no extension wiring, just the master socket which the Dect phone and modem/router is plugged into.

I think you need to force them to do a lift and shift of DSLAM port
