I'm really impressed with my zoom ms-50g, which is the muchly cut down 80quid pedal version.
(less effects at once,no looper, expression pedal etc.)

They sound really good.

I should've saved a bit harder really and got one of those.

Just keep an eye on Gumtree mate, one'll turn up probably. Then again, £ 202 is pretty cheap. I wouldn't bother with the G3xn though, it's not much cheaper, and it's missing a lot from the G5n.

Particularly looking forward to the tail effect on the delays, which keeps playing after you turn the effect off, so you can play over a chord for example.

I'd just bought a TcHelicon Voicelive3 at the time and just needed a pedal that had more ooomf in the lead tones. So I'm covered for looping and expression pedal stuff now. I'd also splurged on an Amt pangea impulse loader as well.. oh, and the Alto FRFR speaker.

I'm not allowed to buy anything else for a very long time...

For 200 quid, it's brilliant. It's no Helix, but it doesn't try to be. The factory patches are the usual unusable shit, but when you create new patches from scratch, you can get some cracking sounds. The sheer amount of amps/cabs/effects is mind boggling. Took me about 2 minutes to get a spot on Marc Ribot tone (I spent an hour just playing Jockey full of Bourbon over and over). It's great for building complex ambient patches. You can also have the expression pedal do just about anything, including change the speed of the Leslie effect. Moving effects around in the chain is easy, and using in stompbox mode is so useful.
