Introduce me to your top 5 favourite films!

I've recently discovered someone who has literally been living in a box, and has not seen any films ever. I've been introducing them to some of my favourite films, and it's been great! Reliving a film through someone elses eyes! But I'm running out of films worthy of showing them.

Here are 5 I've recently introduced them to! Not specifically my favourite films (except for number 1, which is the best film of all time, in any genre EVER), but some classics.

1. Spinal Tap
2. Pulp fiction
3. Usual Suspects
4. Leon
5. Shawshank Redemption.

not top 5 but random films that should be watched, man bites dog, army of darkness spring to mind but by no means the be all...

oh and show them starship troopers 2 so they now have the other end of the scale, how bad a film can truly be

don't really have a top 5, can never really judge those things, too many contenders. But a few that I've watched fairly recently that i really like are:

Encounters at the end of the world by Werner Herzog.
Grand Illusion by Jean Renoir.
A Man Escaped by Robert Bresson.
Pierrot Le Fou by Jean-Luc Godard.
Bicycle Thieves by Vittorio de Sica.

And some Hollywood ones:

Five easy pieces by Hal Ashby.
Terminator and Aliens by Jim Cameron, Blade Runner by Ridley Scott (although everyone must have seen these).
Midnight Cowboy by John Schlesinger.
Godfather trilogy by Coppola.
Mean Streets and Goodfellas by Scorsese.

Fuck me I hate it when people fucking post on a "what's your top 5" thread with "I don't have a top 5 so here's a list of things I like"

IF YOU DON'T HAVE A TOP 5 YOU CAN'T PLAY THE FUCKING GAME!

Anyway, back on track..

1. Oldboy
2. Pulp Fiction
3. City of God
4. Terminator 2
5. Gladiator

Groundhog day is a great choice, forgot about that. Maybe my favourite American film of the last 20 years or so.

Yeah the thread title is a little misleading. I wrote it thinking I want everyones top 5. Then tried to think of my top 5, and realised it was a right pain in the arse to think of them. So yeah just 5 films you think are good is great!

Oh and cheers for the suggestions! I'm seen most, but the creature in the box hasn't!

Fack. Forgot about the Sponge Bob Movie. A film funnier than it has any right to be and also one that gets me funny looks for singing the goofy goober song on the bus.
