We Need To Talk About Kevin - 63 out of 79

Strong performances, interesting subject matter. The abstract approach and non-linear structure means it does have some difficulties attaining a narrative foothold (the first 20 minutes or so go all over the place)

However... (ending spoilers)

  Spoiler: highlight to read
I'm not too sure why the mother was so ostracised and hated, since he also killed her husband and daughter. I would have thought her also loosing her family would produce some sympathy for her?

Johnny English Reborn - 3.5/5 Some classic laugh out loud Rowan Atkinson comedy, but a bit clunky in places. Needed to be directed with a bit more zip. Kids loved it though.

Weekender, if you were into the rave scene back in the early 90's, it was quite enjoyable! 4/5.

Howling-reborn, ok for something to watch 6/10

Green Lantern starring Van Wilder - Meh. Animated version of the same story was way better. 3/10.

I thought this was ok, but nothing special. Comic nerds seem to be raving about it, but it felt like a really short story stretched out, or ended before the good stuff got going.

Classic case of comic pace not translating to an hour of movie. The book felt great, mostly because of the Gordon insight.

Hour-long animated films just seem too short to me. The recent Superman effort was the same.

Jesus f***ing Christ, why didn't I remember reading this before last weekend !! My Mrs and my Mum choose it, it looked quite interesting. It was sooooo fucking boring..

It's seems to be less film and more moving art (or attempt at it). The dinosaur bit was quite random (aaaw the baby dinosaur doesn't get eaten..... oh fuck, they're all dead), I kinda get that the message was that life is fragile but it really just left everyone in my family a bit baffled.

It's like a chillout video in parts (it's an effort not to fall asleep), a coming of age film in bits and an examination of relationships and religion in other sections (as Blurr says, in the style of the longest art wank perfume advert of all time).

I do have a personal rule that if a film is nothing like anything I've watched before then I try not to slate it too much as it's enriched the tapestry of my life a little and is therefore worthy.. this film tested that rule to breaking point.

0.000000001/5

Tucker and Dale V Evil - 8.5/10 - Cracking funny film! Although from a mans point of view, the blonde could of had her baps out more.

In the loop - 6/10 - Didn't seem to work as a film, much prefer the TV series, suppose its introducing those damm American's

have been avoiding this so may re-think, ricky grover can be funny but in a film(?) and it's also got the smallest cunt from n-dubs in it. i had thought it was standard shite and only lacking tamir hassan and danny dyer to allow it to be a true london pile of 'we're just cheeky cockney' toss

decent new films out recently has been a bit dry

"The Howling Reborn" - Fackin awful MTV style film that has absolutely nothing to do with the original Howling story. It's a kid in school whose mother was killed while he was in her womb and he was injured/turned, then he discovers he's a werewolf.....that's about it. Oh yeah and spoilers, his mum comes back.

SHITE!

I've also got Hellraiser Revelations here, I don't hold out much hope for it as it doesn't even have the proper pinhead in it.

I also downloaded the Life in a Day film, has anyone watched it?

Watched Tin tin - secret of the unicorn on I-max 3D, this was the first film i have seen in imax 3d, firstly omg that is awesome! 98.3267% for the experiance and 99.348% for the film. It had to be cgi'd as the stunts would have been impossible, the chase section through bagghah (the Moroccan town) is outstanding. Thats an average of 98.83735% overall
