That makes what could be a good scene REALLY annoying to watch.

I'm guessing it could be to cover up how 'shaw brothers esque' the moves, at least in this scene, look though.

It is chaotic, but it is very considered in its chaos. So I can't really complain about the stylistic choices for the camera going upside down, through legs, out of a window, getting blood splatter on the lens etc. It is organised chaos at least. Unlike say a Michael Bay style which is just throwing mud at the screen.

A few moments with a calmer lens during the mass brawls would have been nice though

I've been looking for feel good comedies recently (easy win with the Mrs), both Hunt for the Wilderpeople and The Fundamentals of Caring were brilliant Quirky and funny - both on Netflix.

Thor: Ragnarok - Great fun, lots of action and the whole film almost has an "unscripted" feel to it. Really enjoyable with lots of quirky and fun characters, great action scenes and a fantastic soundtrack. The downsides are a couple of moments of very dodgy CGI, it runs a little too long and Mark Ruffallo was absolute dogshit 8/10

  Spoiler: highlight to read
On the plus side, Idris Elba has at least managed to be in ONE good film this year now

I enjoyed the cameos (apart from the obligatory Stan Lee, I got bored with him ages ago).

I thought he was actually quite good fun in this one. It wasnt just the usual "Oh look its Stan Lee" and then the scene ends. He actually got some dialogue and some lasting (albeit minor) impact on the film!

The Death of Stalin - I thought this was great, brilliant cast and right mix of humour and laying bare of the both horrific and ludicrous nature of Russia at that point. Isaacs as Zhukov was brilliant and the actor playing Beria. 8/10

Bladerunner again - sticking with my first review , still a 10/10 after another watch!

Thor - Done in a much more comedic fashion , which did grate on occasion but then the first two Thors had their moments in the same vein. Blanchett looks wonderful , doesn't get enough to do. Goldblum is at full Goldblum and is magnificent if you like that sort of thing. I dont think there was one specific thing that I loved , but lots of good touches and scenes even accounting for the bits that grated. Although it does feel a little stop gappy and more of set up for what comes next 7/10

7/10. Loads Better than super v bat.
Thought the ending was rushed. Like the comedy between characters.

Death Of Stalin - Brilliant. Doesnt try to be too clever, yet mixes low brow and high brow humour and manages to be funny throughout. Very much recommended! 8/10

Murder on the Orient Express - swithering about this one! It looked lush , was gorgeously shot barring a few dodgy landscape CGI efforts. Cast is top notch , not convinced they all had enough to do. Brannaghs version of Poirot really worked for me. I had kinda forgotten the plot , but it's pretty obvious for the last third and it does lose some steam at that point. But in a good way a really old fashioned thoroughly enjoyable afternoon film. 7/10

Justice League - Its..... good? Wait, how did that happen? Its really REALLY GOOD. Its funny, well paced, well acted, well cast, great action scenes and so on. Considering DCs past record recently (excepting the fantastic Wonder Woman film of course) and the horror stories that came out of the production of this film, its somehow managed to be great. In a year that included Logan and Thor: Ragnarok, both myself and 2 of my mates agreed: Best superhero film this year. 9/10

Not sure I'd go that far myself personally. It wasn't bad, but I definitely preferred Thor. Some of the bits that were supposed to be funny didn't quite work for me. The action was occasionally a little busy but not so much that you couldn't see what was going on, though the CGI at times was a bit too obviously CGI. I did like the scene where

I saw it again tonight, with a different group of friends. The jokes obviously didnt land as well on the 2nd viewing but I stand by my score. It was just as good on the 2nd viewing as it was on the first. And I totally agree with you on that scene. The look in Flash's eyes had me howling with laughter first time around

One thing I will say is that despite BvS's flaws, the warehouse scene is still the action sequence I would rewatch the most out of recent offerings. Fabulously brutal.

Just caught Justice League and expected it to be utter shite but surprisingly enjoyed it. It certainly isn't the greatest superhero movie and there were some hugely rushed parts and dodgy CGI but it didn't sink to the depths of Suicide Squad by a long shot and was not as disjointed as I was expecting.

I enjoyed a fair bit of the humour and fight scenes and even the Flash didn't irritate me and i've hated that character all through comics/tv/movies for more years that i can count. 7/10 overall

Stuff I watched over xmas:

Atomic Blonde - 3/10 - Not as clever as it thought it was

Colossal - 8/10 - huge fun, well acted, and Anne Hathaway

Guardians of the Galaxy 2 - 7/10 - Almost as good as the first one, some great laugh-out-loud moments

John Wick 1 & 2 - 8/10 - Great action, Keanu obviously very aware of his shortcomings as an actor, and playing up to the genre cliches

Kingsman 1 & 2 - 8/10 & 6/10 - Huge fun, sequel less so, but still entertaining

Pandemic - 0/10 - Dreadfully acted "found-footage" gash

Self Less - 7/10 - entertaining nonsense

The Great Wall - -1/1000 - brain cancer on a screen

The Hunger Games 1 to 4 - 7/10 overall - Not what I expected. JL's squeaky voice grates after a while

The Mummy - 7/10 - A lot more entertaining than I expected.

The Accountant - 8/10 - Well acted and interesting premise. Extra point for Kendrick not being an annoying cunt.

The Hitman's Bodyguard - 6/10 - Funny, but not as funny as it thinks.

The Lost City of Z - 8/10 if you can ignore Hunnam's typically shit acting and weird accent. Pattinson (surprisingly) continues to impress as an actor (check him out in The Rover if you don't believe me)

Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets - 0/10 - Oh dear. Oh dearie dearie me.

Wonder Woman - 3/10 - Just didn't see the point. Average acting, uninteresting plot. Probably only liked by people who like to fap to Gal Gadot

Fantastic Beasts and where to Find Them - 8/10 - Well acted, occasionally hilarious xmas fare.

Hell or High Water - 9/10 - Saw this on the plane in April, and I enjoyed it even more this time. Flawless performances from the entire cast, especially Ben Foster, who has to be one of the best actors of his generation, and Bridges, who is easily one of the best of his

Rememory - 0/10 - everyone concerned should go sit in a corner and think very long and hard about what they did
