Internet Issue

I purchased a Netgear DGN2000 a couple months ago and have couple issues. Its currently wired into my new pc and there are a couple wireless laptops connected to this. When i try connect to it from the laptop automatically the internet doesnt seem to be picking up. So i seem to have to go into the properties and disconnect, and re-enter the password. sometimes if that doesnt work, i switch the wireless on and off (from laptop) and then it works after that.

Sometimes even my ps3 will struggle to connect but when i switch on my pc which the router wired too, the ps3 all of a sudden connects? Is such a thing possible? why am i gettin these issues? anything to do with it being a wireless N router, and maybe my laptops being unable to cope with it? should i switch it down to wireless g?

Doubt it's anything to do with wireless N vs G.. sounds really weird.. e-mail Netgear or your ISP..

A question would typically require an interrogative pronoun such as who, what, where, why, how, when, is. Ergo, this is not a question.

Is such a thing possible?
By your own testimony, yes it is.

why am i gettin these issues?
Because a little knowledge is a dangerous thing. Case in point: knowing a little bit about how to ask questions.

While you have gone into exhaustive detail about the make an model of your router, you haven't gone into as much detail with your laptops. However, given your history and evident technical nouse, I assume PEBKAC.

Problem-solving 101 - try the obvious, then the less obvious until a solution is found.

Wouldn't hurt to try forcing B/G only mind.

[call centre] turn off your PC(s) and unplugg your modem and router, wait 10 seconds and power on the modem and let it boot, now power on the router, and finally your PC(s)
[/call centre]

(it worked for Q-Target!)
