I havent liked anything Orbital have done since Inside.

I havent bought anything today as such, but within last 2 weeks:

Mclusky - "The difference between you and me is that I'm not on fire". Not as good as Mclusky do Dallas', but it is growing on me. It is a different style to last album, so if I regard it as a different band it is good, but if I regard it as Mclusky still its a bit disapointing.

Pink Grease - "This is for real". Super camp glam-punk/rock. Seems pretty cool.

Von Bondies - "Pawn shop heart". Not as good as their last album, but I havnt listened to it much yet.

Múm - "Summer make good". Wierd Icelandic, ambienty, bleepy electronica. Very, very good.

similar style to Scissor Sisters? If so, I'll avoid like the plague.

(the) Electric Wizard - We Live

rocks seems they've started calling themselves 'the', might be because of the lineup change (new fit female guitarist )

And, er, bought Alice in Chains - Dirt recently, because it was dirt (arf) cheap, and At The Gates - With Fear I Kiss The Burning Darkness

Yay, someone else who dislikes them. They should be subjected to the Death by 1000 Cuts for their frankly shocking cover of Comfortably Numb.

Inside was utterly amazing. One of my favourite albums ever. The rest of Orbital is just slightly better than average dance music.

Pink Grease are NOTHING like SS. PG are rock 'n roll, not the sub-disco pap of SS.

Heartwork I was thinking of recommending Múm to you in the thread where I pointed out lots of postrock bands. But they are more electronic than most guitary postrock bands. A friend sent me loads of postrock mp3s with some múm albums aswell, so I associate Múm with postrock, but arent really sure if they are. They are superb. Think bleepy warp-esque electronica done by post-rockers.
