Pulp were probably performed the best pop-tunes of the past decade. Consistently great stuff.

They used to bore me too, but then I realised I hadn't bothered listening to any of their stuff, so I decided to get into it...albeit a few years late.

It would be a shame to write off decent music just because it's old.

btw, get "Master of Puppets" and "Garage Days", they're good too.

Not everyone can get into a band when they first form and have seen their first gig etc etc Heartwork...

I know for a fact you are, what, 17? 18? That means you probably weren't even born when Ride The Lightning was released, so you can't really talk.

metallica may well ahve been fantastic when released. but i don't like them, i find them boring and i don't see why me being younger than you means I can't dislike them.

if nothign else it just pushes them into the same category for me as the beatles and elvis. perhaps they were groundbreaking and imaginative when they first came about, but now they're nothing special and there's a hell fo a lot of better stuff about to listen to now.

Sidestepped. I agree in Heartwork's statement that there's much better stuff to listen to than Metallica, but I agree with deff's statement that good music is... eternal?
