PDA, Phone, Bluetooth, GPRS !

Ok .. not sure which forum this should go into ... but posting it here ... so there!

I have a PDA which has bluetooth and wireless. Wireless is fine at home, but when out and about, id like the ability to connect to my mobile phone and utilise its 3G, GPRS etc connectivity for t'internet usage.

Does anyone know how to connect a windows mobile 5 based pda via bluetooth to a bluetooth phone and use the gprs for network/internet connectivity?

Got my Dell AXIM connected to my Sony Ericsson V600i via BlueTooth using GPRS for web browsing (and TomTom traffic updates)

Need to use a special number when creating a bluetooth dial-up connection on your PDA.
For me with vodafone it's *99***4# (where the '4' is the tariff I use which is listed in my Services on the phone - PAYT, WAP or whatever)

Had to do some serious googling to get this info as can't find any mention of such connectivity help on Voda's help pages/FAQs

Excellent, then the number shouldn't change much.
On your phone go to: Menu - Settings - Connectivity - Data comm. - Data accounts
You'll see your list of accounts. You need the "External ID" of the account you use (Contract or PAYT). Mine's PAYT Internet, rather than PAYT WAP. Select the account and click "More", this'll tell you the ID. Use that ID with the above number and you'll be off.
Username and password for the dial-up connection should be web and web
