New Mouse recommendation

My last working Logitech G400 is developing a dodgy button, so it's probably time to replace it.

I've always used these, having had about a dozen, made up of the Mx500/510/518/G400. The G400s is a stupid price now, so can anyone suggest a good, relatively large and sturdy, wired mouse. I need a pair of shoulder buttons, and at least 3 programmable buttons on the top, in addition to the obvious ones.

Any suggestions?

How good are you with a soldering iron? You could replace the buttons for less than a fiver. What you need is Omron D2FC-F-7N micro switches, preferably the 20m click version, but any will work. Something like this:-

I might try that actually, although it's the "-" button on all of them that goes. I always remap the DPI down button to the same key, but I wear it out really quickly. It's usually the grenade button in most FPS'

I might even try dismantling and cleaning them.

I suspect they'll be different switches under those buttons, although probably still replaceable if you can find the part number. On my mice it's tended to be the trigger button and scroll wheel that go tits-up on me.

I think my next mouse will be Logitech. I like the optical scroll wheels.

Edit: There's a G400S, brand new on ebay for 42.
