Surprisingly comfortable for Lewis, he didn't put a foot wrong. Bottas drove really well, as did Magnusson, Alonso and Leclerc. Good drive from Max (apart from the bit where he hit Stroll ), not sure quite what happened to Ricciardo. Vettel oddly toothless apart from the start.

I thought Hamilton’s tyres might’ve dropped off earlier so expecting a pit stop and then a need to catch Bottas. I needn’t have worried!
Quite a steady race really, especially compared to Baku.
Good to see McLaren in a decent position.

A one-off test doesn't necessarily mean a huge amount, good to know we've someone coming up for when Lewis calls it a day though.

Best setting of the year , interesting - in theory - track , the usual utter procession of a race?

Ricciardo absolutely nailed it in Qually and Verstappen absolutely fucked up in FP3 . I think Ricciardo is owed this win after the debacle a few years ago.

Unless we get smashes and splashes , not much else should happen ?

I reckon Ricciardo will have a balls-up of a pit strategy. Guaranteed safety on first lap, first corner with midfield causing it.

At least he has a pro next to him on the front row. Vercrashen would probably take the pair of them out at the first corner. Saying that, it's going to be fun watching the Dutch cunt working his way through the field.

I just want Alonso and Kimi to do well tomorrow, but I'm still going to be crossing my fingers for a Ricciardo win, with Hamilton finishing ahead of Vettel.

Vettel needs to cut off Hamilton if he wants to finish this race ahraad of him. Staying with Ricciardo won't work.

Longer he can stay in front, the better though as it will close up the gaps.

Bottas, Ocon and Alonso can score big here with the supersofts if the ultrasofts shit the bed.

The one time the brakes fail and its when your closest to a car in front. Crazy. Quite lucky how it ended as Leclerc could have launch up and over in all sorts of ways.

Someone to get a puncture now?

He did well to hold on but really the race was won yesterday as is usually the case with Monaco. Any other track and he'd be eaten up. Still credit where its due. He did all he had to do and didn't mess it up.

Really pleased with that win , tremendous . Bigger picture glad seb has closed it up . I don't especially want Vettel or Lewis to win this year but if we can at least have a good close contest! The drama made what's often the dullest of processions interesting and tense

Yeah - was unfortunate, and he did everything he could by driving into the barrier too to try and avoid hitting Hartley.

Yeah, I'm in too minds about Monaco as a race these days. Obviously it takes great skill to drive around the tight roads, and it's got the history, but short of hoping for a shunt there's just not a lot of actual racing.

Of course, yesterday's wasn't helped by the fact that there were lots of drivers (e.g. Seb) having trouble with getting the tyres to work again after the VSC. Had he managed to get a good restart (and get past Vandoorne quickly) then the end of the race could have been interesting.
