I was rating it based on enjoyment. Also, I haven't seen Social Network.

really want to see inception

just saw RED....actually a good old laugh, some awesome bits and some lacklustre bits. great cast. but as the reviews say...could have been so much more!
7/10

the other guys.....urrm, 9/10 for odd bits....3/10 on average and that's just the first half. so bored that we haven't watched it all yet. and we're both huge anchorman fans.

I've not seen CLOTT but I'm guessing it is a completely diff genre to TSN, so from that point of view others may be more impressed with graphics, blood etc, rather than the decent portrayal and acting in TSN.

HP7A - 8/10 very true to book, accepting it is only half the book the break point is at the right place. The kids act the best they have done, better than I thought they could.

it was a really good film. the book was much better, it had a lot more atmosphere, but i didn't think it would translate well to a film at all, they made a good job of it. plus, bonus for having a child actor who i didnt want to kick in the face.

The Terminal 8/10 - Really enjoyed it, perhaps biased because I think Tom Hanks is a great actor.

HP7A 9/10 - Accurate in respect to the book, enjoyable film, again biased that i'm huge HP fan.

Inception 9/10 - Amazing film, very well thought out idea that was implemented well onto the screen

Ponyo 8/10 - A sweet film and one you could happily watch with the kids.
Slumbog Millionaire - 9/10 - Yeah, I'm late to the party on this one. Great film and worthy of the attention it received.

Man on Fire (oldish film, just got it in a double film pack) - 8/10 Great performance from Denzel Washington (which he always manages when he isn't going all out to win an Oscar). Nice balance between thoughtful talky performances and action. Special mention to Dakota Fanning for one of the best performances by a child-actor in a film.

Battle for LA - 5/10: wanted to enjoy it more, but it was too long and too cliche'd every single one involving squad based military films and alien invasion films was there.

Salt 6/10 - Quite entertaining with old AJ strutting her stuff.
Inception 6/10 - Great idea, but the just didn't grab me. The whole storyline of the job they are doing is weak and secondary to everything else4.
Black Swan 6/10 - Nearly turned it off but it started to get interesting. Nice to see a pained expression throughout is good enough for an Oscar nowadays.
Tron Legacy 6/10 - Some great scenes but lacking any depth
I spit on your grave 8/10 - Not an enjoyable film, although I admit to grinning when she gets into the swing of things later on.
Beneath Hill 60 8/10 - Can't get the mountie out of my mind, but good story if a little disjointed at times.
Tangled 7/10 - I think I enjoyed it more than my two year old!
Machete 8/10 - Repeated viewing of this entertaining pop corn flick. OTT but in a good way.
The Fighter 10/10 - I found this immensely enjoyable, Bale is on fine form whilst Dirk Diggler even puts in a strong performance.
Piranha 3D 5/10 - Soft core porn for large sections, but when the fishes get hungry it gets fun.
The Kings Speech 9/10 - Just an enjoyable film with some great performances

You may have noticed that I have been catching up on a lot of films lately!

yeah true, 5/10 is more like it. I spent the first 30 minutes of the film trying my hardest to understand what the main character was saying - shit cinema didn't help the sound quality in the slightest, but good god it was just a stream of grunts with the odd discernable word. I did quite enjoy the film overall, but it just felt like it was lacking something. I do like my westerns though, so chances are I just had far too high expectations for it.

Considering the rest of the cast, I didn't think it'd be quite the shitfest it turned out to be.

Then again, Catherine Tate was in it too so that should have told me...

Cyrus 8/10 - brilliant acting IMHO, a film about characters so it had to be or it would have been very shit. Extremely simple plot, but that's the point... Really enjoyed it. (I had been prepared for it to be rubbish)

Which Cyrus ? The one with John C. Reilly ? There were 2 in 2010 with the same title.
