Hope we get a great finish to the season but unlikely. If Rosberg panics at the start then anything is possible.

Maybe not. Now that was bad luck for Rosberg.

Lewis made it interesting for sure. Quite telling that Paddy came on the radio to tell him to speed up when it has no bearing on anything apart from Lewis losing the championship...

Not really, the team would not have helped Hamilton out one bit if the situation was reversed.

Fine for Hamilton to put Rosberg under pressure really as I see it - he's being a bit of a dick in the post race stuff though if somebody doesnt lose their nerve under any pressure you can apply at least congratulate them

No , that's ludicrous. There's no conspiracy , there's no sabotage , there's none of this absolute nonsense about not wanting Lewis to win.

If that were the case they would never have hired him. They hired Lewis to win races, they knew going in his strengths and quirks and times when he's a cunt. Simple fact is Rosberg deserves it this season , if Lewis hadn't driven shit for a few races he would have won.

That's it.

I'd expect the same strategy from Nico or Lewis. They're paid to be merciless racers.

Sad Lewis didn't win. I think he's done a sterling job given his reliability issues.

Yeah much though i have built a certain hatred of Rosberg up he hasnt put a foot wrong this season - seasons past he would of cracked under the pressure but I can think of relatively few mistakes hes made this season (within the limitations of his skill)

Hamilton still would of won with equal luck with the cars - but there were a couple of races at least that he just didnt turn up too which could have won it for him.

Whilst I don't believe there was a conspiracy resulting in the mechanical failures, it is ludicrous not to see those as the difference between the drivers. Rosberg won because of those issues Lewis had, and he knows that. Of course he doesn't care whatsoever as he's the champion, and fair play to him. It's out of his hands what happens to other drivers, he can only do what he can do. The pass on Verstappen today was great, he got the job done. The only way I could see him losing the championship today, was if he had a mechanical!

Excellent race... nail-biting to the end. And I applaud Hamilton for getting his pace just right, very tactical! I didn't really see Rosberg putting much effort though with even attempting to overtake - clearly happy to stay where he was.
I don't doubt others would have done the same though.

Think you mean Hamilton right? Someone who has endured the worst possible luck with engines who manages to stay in the fight and take it to the last race is someone who deserves it. Someone who has fully benefited from a better driver enduring bad luck and has never beaten their nearest competitor without the help from management intervening is not someone who deserves it.

No I meant Rosberg. Rosberg had his own issues this season , sure not as much as Lewis .. but so what. Rosberg has been more consistent , not cracked under the pressure, there's one race win between them. You've got a tin foil hat on going on about management and it's silly.

Lewis could have won this title - failures aside - if he hadn't been shit in a few races. Rosberg kept getting the wins / points when he needed to a bit more than Lewis. *Shrug*

True, tinfoil hat on because nothing dodgy by team management has ever happened by taking action to hurt their own team to benefit their other driver ever...

I'm a Hamilton fanboy. I do think he would've won it without the reliability issues, but, who am I to say that it wasn't something about Hamiltons driving style that caused those issues in the first place?

Maybe the way he shifts gear? The engine modes he uses? The way he takes the curbs?

Nico won. He's a world champion. He didn't crack under pressure like I thought he would. You don't win world championships without being deserving of it.

I just hope they both have the opportunity to fight for the championship next year, with some Bull's and Ferrari's to mix it up a bit.
