Ocean, US Gold & Amiga books Free

Today only.

Looks like a decent little read if you loved their games back in the day.

From Bedroom to Billions and From Bedroom to Billions the Amiga years documentaries cover off part of the history of some of the publishers. Both are well worth looking up and watching, the Amiga one is absolutely fantastic if you were a fan back in the day.

I attended a talk with Gary Bracey and some other bloke from Ocean at the Play Expo in Blackpool last year and he had loads of interesting stories to tell. Play Expo is great too if you're into retro games, i'm going again to the Blackpool event in February.

I got a Compact Flash card set up as an internal hdd on my real Amiga last Christmas and installed all of the games, it's great!

didn't realise that was still going

I remember asking some Sega developers after the formal Q&A (because its a boring question) whether they had any clever project management and getting the answer "work 18 hours a day for the last 3 months to hit dead lines"
