Less gorgeous with a boat anchor in the back of her skull. Otherwise agree. Was big'd up by mates as something awesomely scarey. Found not to be.

I didn't mind Sabotage. I found the main problem to actually be Schwarzenegger. The man seems to have trouble delivering lines anymore, or even understanding the basics of acting. Damn shame.

Also, the entire team were annoyingly annoying.

Probably due to the fact it had a total rewrite as the female Cop was meant to be the lead character originally.

Sabotage was majorly screwed up thanks to the studio interference. The original premise and ending sounds far superior than the mess we received.

  Spoiler: highlight to read
It was meant to be a 3 hour long (original cut) murder mystery with the female FBI agent as the main protagonist.

Ayer wanted the original ending to present Arnie as the villain and in one of the endings he filmed, Arnie actually escapes with the money after having killed the female FBI agent.

Instead the studio forced a rewrite (more action orientated) and reshot the ending, which made Arnie appear as an antihero rather than villain.

Bad Words - Adult enters spelling bee for children. Tells various children and their parents to go fuck themselves in increasingly amusing ways. Your mileage may vary, but I found it highly entertaining: 8/10

Non-Stop - Was probably very interesting and original before Hollywood got their greasy mitts all over it. Now its a fairly generic and predictable thriller with a somewhat interesting premise. 5/10

That's the thing then, there is no lead character to speak of. It feels poorly directed/edited and is just odd. It has a low budget, made for TV feel to it.

Saw Boyhood today and thought it was really good, albeit a little bit unsubtle at pointing out for the benefit of the audience which year we're seeing. Found some of it very unsettling.

Finally got around to watching Raid: Redemption yesterday and was rather fond despite the dodgy subtitle file I had. Changes pace after the initial 30 mins and for the better. 7/10.

Guardians Of The Galaxy - 7/10

Good fun. Continually slapping you round the face with its everything-up-to-11 approach, but keeps moving along with a brisk pace and decent sense of humour.

Expendable 3 - loud stupid 80's action flick that was ridiculously over the top and unrealistic.

Kept me entertained 7/10

Rewatched 28 Days Later and 28 Weeks Later last night. As great as both films undoubtedly are, I found myself just watching Naomie Harris and Imogen Poots. I forgot just how utterly gorgeous they both were. Naomie Harris still is (she was in Skyfall, anyway), but Ms Poots is a bit weird these days. Then again, she was so strikingly "different" in 28 Weeks, it could have gone either way tbh.

Need for Speed, 3/10. I wasn't expecting much, and it didn't even deliver that.

On a side note, took the little 'un to see Frozen again today with the offers they have at Cineworld. Only 5.70 for both of us to watch in 3D. To be honest before today I'd not given much thought to 3D, bit of a gimmick and all that... Well from now on I'm not sure I'll go to the cinema without choosing to watch the 3D version (if available)!

Disagree, I don't think either of them are that attractive, don't think much of them as actresses either.

Really? Admittedly digital animation is the best format for 3D but apart from the opening scene of ice saws doing that pointy pointy 3D gimmick thing, I cant think of another scene that really benefited from the 3D.

You see its the gimmicky 3D stuff that put me off in the first place. I like it being subtle and just adding to the overall experience.

That was my point. One gimmicky scene and nothing else other than light loss to the overall experience in my view.
