Need to splurge so this is going. Sigma 28-70 f2.8

£107 mates rates including RMSD

It's a little bit soft wide open at 2.8 - not terrible but much sharper at f4. AF is quick and the zoom is smooth. Has an aperture ring if you're into that sort of thing. Rubberised easy wipe down coating (Eja coming back to the forum made me mention this)

depends how much cash I raise. Fancy getting a 'walkabout' with some classic lens manual focus action ( got a 55mm f1.7 to play with )
