Being big = arseholes having a go for no reason

Ok, so most of my adult life, i have had to put up with people of smaller stature having a go for absolutely no reason whatsoever when up the town. Any of you other guys have the same thing?

Also, to the guys who are on the smaller side.... WHY???? I dont get it.

Tonight I had a guy bump into me. I turned and appologised, as is the norm (although not my fault). His friend then proceeds to RAM himself against me trying to knock me back. This resulted in complete failure as he basically bounced off me and hurt his shoulder in the process. Then he goes off on one about me taking up too much room and shoulder barging people. I'm just trying to understand the mentality. Ok, so they have had a drink (as have i)... but i have had this kind of behaviour from sober chaps too. Any insights?

Heres a solution, its not a quick solution and it could take generations. As a tall person breed with as many short people as possible and then in turn have those offsring breed with taller people and the extinction of the short arse will ensue.

Oi don't tar us smalls with all the same brush, being 5.7 the majority of my mates r taller . With height comes a weight advantages which means you would have to be dumb or have a death wish as smaller person to start a fight with someone taller then you.

I remember when I was out clubing one night a guy slightly smaller then me decided to ask a taller guy the time as the club closed, the taller guy lent forward so he could tell the smaller dud the time as he did so the smaller guy nutted him in the nose..complete prick.

I agree! I think it's a sign of age though I'm much happier in a country pub with real ales than paying £7.00 for a JD And a squirt of coke, standing in some pretentious bar with nowhere to sit, filled with idiots all shouting to be heard over each other and the inevitably shitty music!

Well being 6'2" I have noticed it over the years I even grew my hair out again as I seemed to get smaller guys wanting to ruck a lot more when I had the shaved head.I think it is mostly the drink that makes them do it tbh just one of them things get used to it it wont stop I'm afraid mate.

Scrobbs - I usually stick to newcastle (touch wood, ive never had any hassle). Unfortunately I headed up to hanley. It wont be happening again. On top of the shit in my first post, my jacket got stolen from right behind me. Not an expensive one, but a piss take all the same. Not to tar all smaller people with the same brush, i do quite regularily get the complete opposite. People shaking my hand randomly, which never gets any less strange.

On the beer note. I fkin hate lager. This means i end up drinking Jack all night, unless i can find a pint of bitter or on the very rare occasion an actual pint of ale (which usually tastes like shit, because no one else there drinks it and its stale). If i go to Newcastle, a lot of the pubs are real ale pubs Not to mention i can get Hobgoblin, which generally cheers me up

I'm 5'3 I find people tend to start on me for almost no reason. Throughout my life I've always tended to find people will have a pop at me because I'm the shortest of the group and probably seem to be the weakest.

I've even had girls at work say they could never go out with a short guy because they wouldn't be able to defend them. I tend to find these people are the kind of empty headed cunts that go to bars that play dance music, dub step, R&B etc. I've almost never had a problem in rock clubs.

Stuie - you start off by being annoyed with one stereotype (that short guys = weakest), and then follow it up with one of your own: that people who going into dance clubs are empty headed. To reply wiht one of my own, I'd argue those who go to rock clubs are empty headed, 'cos the music is old, been around for years, hasn't moved forward or does anything different and you don't have the wherewithal to open your mind to different music.

Although I was out in Chester on Saturday night, and admittedly there was a lot more eye candy. I didn't get trollied, and was relatively lucid all evening.

I ended up chuckling at rat-arsed women trying to walk in 6"+ heels, that quite frankly they needed stabilisers for.

I ended up going into some of the more expensive bars, not because I wanted to be seen or think I was a cut above everyone else. I just didn't fancy jostling for my 1m square of space in 'spoons. Admittedly there were some women in there just looking for a wallet. Can spot them a mile off.

Aye, I've done my share of that, had enough of the City centre game, the really busy boozers anyway. Too many coked-up mouthy twats that you really have to grit your teeth just to be in the same room as.

That said, Edinburgh really isn't bad of an evening, far less chance of getting stabbed than Glasgow, and about zero chance of getting a round in the face from some gimp with a 9mm.

me and the wife were out on saturday in my local and a huge guy came in well over 6'6" but built like the proverbial brick shithouse..not fat, but really well built, it made him look massive. (

anyway after about 20 minutes a group of 4 lads come in and for whatever reason one of them takes a dislike to the giant (migth have known him or something else..who knows) anyway he gives him some verbals..the giant then obviously offers to see him outside if he has taken offense and this guy slinks back behind his mates..then chucks his drink all over the giant
this massive bloke then sparks this bloke out with one massive punch and fends of the other 3..slams one of them into the bar until they all got chucked out when the police turned up

the giant gets a caution as the other bloke doesnt want to press charges

some people got caught up in, broken glasses, spilled beer..the barmaid got bruised (she did get flowers off the giant as way off apology) but it all boils down to what the fuck possessed the clown to antagonise a huge bloke like that??
