Stress Test 9th August

8pm-midnight. Your chars havent been wiped so you can pick up where you left off.

Also, just in case: Dont uninstall the client when the stress test ends. When the game launches, the client will just patch the beta files up to the release version. No need to download the game twice!

Managed to get about an hours worth of gaming in tonight and theyve finally managed to optimise the game for my PC! Runs far better than WoW ever did, which is weird when you think about it. Its SO MUCH FUCKING FUN when your framerate is above 10!

I thought Id picked Necromancer as my launch class but I still had Engineer and Mesmer to try..... tried them both tonight and now Im stuck again

Mesmer looks amazing and Engineer is just full of shit that blows up.

Cant wait for release now!

Theres another stress test tonight, however it runs from midnight to 4am this time. Still, not like most of us have to work tomorrow, so its there if people want it.

I did mention this in passing to Rainy so I'll extend it to anyone else interested: NeoGAF will be having a EU guild running on Gandara. There are a couple of folk really putting some effort in getting things organised so you're not forced to rely on the rolling zerg in WvW.

No idea who Neogaf is, but I had planned to form a guild between us and my old wow guild (Plus any friends and family we all may have), taking on a fair few new members from the general population of the GW2 server as we go.

Well, me or anybody else. I dont mind being the GM of a guild in GW2 because whilst you have to be organised, you dont have to raid lead. If anybody else really wants to do it Ill happily hold the door for them

Managed to get a couple of hours of gaming in last night. Since the last stress test (You know, the day before) they have managed to screw up the graphics system, as many people were having major clipping issues with the environment and having floors, walls and buildings disappear completely. There was also some major lag issues last night, but they blamed their ISP for the problem.

I also finally made my choice of profession for launch: Necromancer!

Never got on last night, too tired. Bit of a turd time to do a stress test, suppose it was more focused for the yanks.

Im honestly not fussy where I go as long as we get something going, there is a few old guildies i know looking for a place to start so they will prob come wherever we go.

All times they do stress tests and BWE's have been listed as Pacific Time. So most of our stress tests have been done at midday-4pm Pacific Time, so yeah the yanks didnt really get much of a shot in. It is a weird beta model to use, but I guess it keeps people keen for the full release. Ive played as little as I possibly can for that reason alone.
