Round 13 - Italy
Interesting stuff from Monza there. Alonso in 10th. Di Resta , fab in 4th ( not counting his 5 place penalty for a gearbox ) and McLaren front row.
Ferrari were just odd there, I think they were trying to get a tow and fucked up! Good stuff.

Yup. But even if it had worked i doubt they would have beaten Hamilton's time. Di Resta will surely join one of the big boys next year. Just keeps getting better and better.

If Hamilton does leave, which I still think would be a mistake, I want Di Resta at McLaren.

I can't remember specifics too well, but I feel like he's been pretty unfortunate in terms of reliability this year? Certainly McLaren cost both him and Hamilton quite a bit in the early part of the year with pit stop fail.
Alonso has this year sewn up.

Good race, I enjoyed that. Gutted Button didn't finish, you'd expect that he woul have finished third with the pace of Perez.
Alsono is 37 points. Either need Hamilton to win the next couple or Alonso to have a DNF . 7 races to go he needs a good few wins with Alonso ideally not finishing in 2nd.

Brilliant race. So many good drivers out there at the moment but all with the ability to fuck things up at any moment. Just makes it even more dramatic. Today though, class driving all round.

Button never seems to get much luck, such a shame as well as a 1 2 (or 1 3 given Perez being so quick) was certainly on and would of massively closed up the constructors. Would of gave Alonso less points too. Still the gaps not huge lets just hope McClaren can keep this form up in Singapore given thats its a complete change to the low downforce high throttle ratio circuits the last few have been.
